Ingredients and pollutants can more easily penetrate the body thru the tear channels and the cornea. Problematic, yet commonly used ingredients are:
- allergy causing nickel
- mercury
- chrome heavy metals
- carcinogenic formaldehyde derivatives
Lipsticks
During a lifetime of regular lipstick use, you actually eat about 4-6 lbs of lipstick! Most lipsticks contain ingredients that are not healthy at all!
Here are some commonly used problem ingredients:
- carcinogenic synthetic colors like aniline or tartrazin
- silicones
- mineral oils
- synthetic sun screen ingredients like oxybenzone or cinnamates.
